Our bed and breakfast and pub in typical Irish-English style lies in Westende-bad at barely 200 m from the beach and the dunes.

We are situated near the coastal tramway which runs from De Panne (at the French border) all the way to Knokke-Heist (on the Dutch border), so you can enjoy a relaxing ride, see some magnificent sights and visit attractions and towns on the way.

Among the places to visit there is the coast museum and the Atlantic wall (500 m), dating from World war II or you can spend a day at Plopsaland, a family park in De Panne.

The Freddy Maertens route starts and finishes nearby. (Freddy Maertens was World champion cycling in 1976 and 1981)

Nieuwpoort : marina, old market place, monument to King Albert I with panoramic view over Flanders, nature reserve with water fowl, children’s zoo.

Middelkerke: casino, comic strip maze, “dronkenput”, coast tram museum
